Well day 2 of being home... What an awesome 3 months we have had... Just looking back through our posts and photos it really all seems so long ago already, when u get home it's all back to the same same... Our last 2 weeks saw us travel from Dubbo to Bathurst, across to Sydney and up the coast line... what makes it even better is we now have my oldest most faithful mate Emma the blue dog with us!
So many people have asked us where our favorite spot was?? Well as beautiful as all of the places we went to were in their own way you really cannot beat the East Coast... We visited Forster/Tuncurry for a night after staying with Clint's mum in Gosford... Brought back many memories for Clint as it was the place where Clint and his dad used to holiday with the Grose clan... And in fact his uncle Col died their during one of their family holidays so I think it meant a lot to clint to go back there and he said the place really hadn't changed much... Ah the memories.
Following Forster we headed up to Port Macquarie and spent some time with Rocket (Clints mate), unfortunately Tanya was tied up in hospital with a bout of the flu... We were thinking of you Tan x we stayed at a lovely
From there we popped into beautiful Lennox Head where my uncle Len lives. We spent the night, went out for a Mexican feast and left the camper and Emma with Uncle Len whole we headed to the Gold Coast for a couple of reasons 1. The GC 600 V8 supercars races. Photos to follow and it was well worth the money spent. We stayed in an apartment right on the track and lived it up for 4 nights
2. And most importantly we popped into our beautiful friend Clare's 30th... What an awesome show Clare put on and we were so glad that we could make it back to celebrate with her!
We headed back to Lennox for our last few days where we just hung out. I was laid up for a day with a bout of food poisoning but slowly got over it to enjoy the last day before heading home!
On Friday we hooked up the camper for the last time packed the car popped Emma in the back and headed for Brisbane. We were discussing on our way home that the trip was something that if we didn't do it straight after Clint got home we wouldn't have done it. We were lucky to be able to have the chance to do it and are so glad that we have the memories and still have the camper for more fun trips to come. A few thank you's. Libbi for looking after our house while we were away opening our mail and keeping us updated! My wonderful parents for looking after Emma for us and keeping us in the loop with family happenings and David our new bestie from Yallingup for your hospitality, putting us up at your stunning property for a few nights in the middle of the Margaret river wineries.
We will be leaving Brisbane mid December heading to toowoomba, this will be a sad day as we have both grown very fond of Brissy and the awesome friends we have made. So a new chapter in the Grose family is going to begin and although it's a little unknown what will be we will grab it with both hands and keep living it up! Thanks for following us! Hopefully it will inspire you to get out of your comfort zone and visit somewhere different!
