So after 4 months of ´would you like soup or salad to start?´ it was time to say goodbye to the Spag!! 6th Oct was our last day and everyone at work made sure I knew about it when I got 4 cream pies in the face!!! Had to serve my last ever table smelling like rotten milk. Will miss that place! the people there are wicked, including all the managers and I will defo miss the pesto chicken linguini!!!
We decided our last week in Van was going to be a party week! We all headed to Vancouver Island for Apus birthday! That big monkey face was surprised when we showed up as he had been working and living out there alone for the last month. That weekend was crazy!!! We ended up in strip bars all weekend getting very drunk and dancing round the poles (all I recall from that night was throwing up three times).
We got back sat and sat night was our goodbye house party – all I can say about that was it was the Katy show! Shes a legend – anyone who can slug back a 2 litre bottle of wine in one night is ok with me!
The night we left Van was realllllly hard!!! Love the city and love my housemates – Chelsea (leaf eater), Bobs (dad), John (ho), Noddy (fatty), Andy (apu), Lisa (lovely lisa) and Mark (dingo) - was very hard to say goodbye (esp at 4am!) I did cry for 12 hours on and off after we left as had not had a full nights sleep in a week, was so upset to leave and s***ting myself about actually going travelling! Was also very hard to say goodbye to a certain sack of wine!
So Thursday night we arrived in Cancun and after all that crying and flying we passed out pretty quicky. Friday we headed straight to the beach and oh my god!!!!!! This place is on the Caribbean sea and its just stunning! The water is so warm and the sand is like powder! We just laid and looked all day.
Sat was our big day! We got up early and headed to the beach where we got on an all inclusive boat (beer at 10am!) which took us over to Isla Maryisla Island! Here we got to swim with a (harmless) shark (shat myself all the same) and snorkel in the beautiful reef. After that we did some shopping and had lunch on the beach and lounged around in the hammocks. On the way back we got to Parasail!! I was so scared I was swearing like a pirate! This thing was made from a towel and I was convinced as I looked down at the boat I was going to land right on top of it (don’t reckon I would have done it in the first place had it not been for the tequila shot I had before).
Sat night we had the best night out ever!! We went to a place called CoCo Bongos (theres a series on MTV about it soon) where they put on an amazing show (Moulin rouge, spiderman, bettlejuice, elvis etc) its really interactive and theres ballons, silly string all that crap just going everywhere. It was also an open bar (which me and Katy decided to use as our dancefloor) was so cool the bartender just kept passing us pina colordos and rotten shots! We danced for 5 hours straight stopping only to pee (you really wanted to know that) the secrity guys loved us (one kept holding my hand!!!!) so they treated us like VIPs making other girls get off the bar so we could get on.
Sunday we were so hungover and hot we just spent much of the day in bed only venturing out to eat at hooters (I think I am getting addicted to strip bars and other such seedy joints), we did try and go shopping but theres nothing we need to buy and it was just so hot.
Monday we headed back to the beach and just chilled out. Tuesday we were supposed to go swim with Dolphins but we were late so it was the beach again (it’s a hard life), this time we decided to get off our bums and do something so rented a jet-ski – this gave me a high indication I should never learn to drive! When ever we went too fast I would get even more scared and grip down harder (on the accelerator) which made us go even more fast! Poor Katy feared for her life.
So today, Tuesday we finally got to go swim with the dolphins! Had to get up at 6.30am!! I don’t normally get up unless its 2 digits but this was an exception. It was a really nice very very dolphin friendly place built into the sea. We spent 45 minutes with them with a very nice couple (the woman looked like sang kirst!) – we did that thing where they throw you up in the air, they jumped all around us and rubbed we rubbed their bellys. I have to admit I was scared when I got in!! thought one might get moody and bite me hand off! But soon got over it and even stroked its tounge (that’s actually gross thinking about it but not as gross as when I saw it pee).
Tonight were heading to the hotel where our 2 week driving tour starts up to Mexico City. This place has been amazing!! Mexicans are very friendly (a bit to friendly at times, esp the ones that tried to smell my hair). We have tried so many new things, jet skis, shark and parasailing were big scary things for me, and tuna sandwiches were big scary things for Katy!! Lol (were addicted to subway). Mexican food is yummy and eating rice dishes instead of all the cheese n pasta I was having at the spag has actually helped me loose a few lbs which is a relief when your living in a bikini!
Well that’s it for now!!! Please leave me a message on the message board if you can – I miss you all!! xXx
