A lovely lie in this morning and then a lovely brunch with Vickie. The church bells were going wild all morning. Vickie told me that the Dutch were actually not allowed (or supposed to?) to drive on Sunday but that most of them drove to a parking lot and then walked to church from there so it looked like they walked all the way!!

We hopped on a train to go to Madurodam (Little Holland). It was really cute walking around and finding out about the different parts of holland. Many of the displays had interactive videos or activities. At two of the stations I put in 50c or €1 and the display delivered a little tulip pin and a ceramic pair of clogs- so cute!!!! It was a freezing cold day - top of 13 but mostly less then that. We went to the cafe for a hot drink to try and warm up. Just as we were finishing up at the centre it started raining - not only freezing but also raining!!!!! Of course we didn't have an umbrella.

We caught a tram to the beach area and strolled around there for a while. Only Vickie's second time there. Rained again! And still bloody cold. Told Vickie she was abusing me by making me go out in the cold :-)

It was good to arrive home and get warm again. Vickie cooked a lovely Dahl and salad for dinner. After much chatting and looking at photos I needed the warmth of the bed around 11:30pm.
