It is our last full say in NY, so we decided that there were definite things we needed to achieve. Dad woke up from a good sleep so we decided a good way to see Central Park was by horse and carriage. We tok a tour through the park which by the way was absolutely beautiful. I can see why people choose to get married there it is so well kept and each view has a base of greenery with the NY skyline above it.
We wandered up to the Columbus circus and admired the statues. Dad was still feelin good so we then took a cab up to Chinatown. It is full of cheap markets and Asian food, just as we thought. It was just a small stroll from there to little Italy so we wandered through and had an excellent Italian lunch with a nice red.
After lunch dad was tired so once again we dumped him in a taxi and sent him home for a rest.
Lynette, Mum and I then made our way to Soho for shopping. We were on a mission to get Lynette a air of jeans and mum wanted a new dress for her special night in Washington.
Soho, was just a bit too hip for us three so we cabbed it up to 6th ave to Macy's. Lynette was a very happy lady it had an entire floor of petites for women including 10 m of suits for half price! Mum was equally happy when she found a floor of clothing just for her as well. We spent a good three hours in there and left starving! We headed back to the apartment to get dad for a special dinner to say good-bye to NY in style.
We walked to a bar called Bravest where the police and firefighters go to eat and drink. We enjoyed some excellent steak and went home to get an early night sleep. That being said it was about 11 pm!
Tomorrow we are scheduled for a traveling day from NY to Boston by amtrax train.
