Day 6 - San Francisco
So carrying on from my last blog... day 3 we went to universal studios hollywood which was pretty cool, we got to drive down Wisteria lane from Desparate housewives and see some 4D special effects - videos will be uploaded! After Universal studios we changed hotels - still in LA - in preparation for joining Trek America (our tour for the West coast).
So day 4 we meet our Trek America group, a cool bunch - 4 nationalities in total, British, German, Luxemburg and South Korean. They're a friendly bunch and we're having a lot of fun so far :).
As a group we spend the first day in LA Hollywood, which wasn't anything new for me since I had already spent my first 2 days in America in Hollywood. We then got on the road to Santa Barbara, the weather picked up when we got to the beach and we had a good game of extreme frisbee - my team winning of course! From there we headed to our camp ground and became familar with the routine in terms of setting the tents out and food arrangements.
Day 5, so we drove up the Pacific coast - got some awesome views of the cliffs on the west coast of America. We stopped off a couple of time, the first to see Elephant Whales that were in view from the coast and the second to take a small hike and explore Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park and in particular get a great shot of McWay Creek (a waterfall flowing into the Pacific Ocean). We crossed the Bixby Creek bridge and made our way to our camp grounds, set up camp and got a good old camp fire going :).
Today we arrived in San Francisco, the weather hasn't been great since we joined Trek America but is apparantly normal for San Fran. This blog has a picture of the golden gate bridge which I took earlier today and you can see the weather isnt great, but anyways we had a chance to walk along the bridge and drive through San Francisco - The roads are exactly as you see in movies and TV shows - ie. realy steep!! Will explore more of San Fran tomorrow and will take more pics. xxx
