Hello everyone!!! Well, hasn't it been a long time!! Turns out USA is very advanced and everywhere is free WiFi and so you need a laptop to get by, and internet cafes have become redundant! I've left you all hanging long enuff I think, and I know at least 3 people are wondering wots been going on! So here it is from the moment the other PC cut me off!! Enjoy!
Monday 14th July (man thats a loooonnnnngggg time ago!!)
Thank God I'm getting outta Phoenix!!! I got the Greyhound to Flagstaff, AZ today and was welcomed by torrential rain!! Nobody told me it was Monsoon Season!!! So I waited for my taxi outside watching the rain and the lightning, it was very cool! Once I got to the hostel I settled myself in then went for an explore of Downtown Flagstaff! There's not much there but I did find the Hotel Montee Vista, a popular hotel with the stars in the 1930's including Humphrey Bogart and the Duke himself, John Wayne! Then I went out for dinner with the 2 girls from my room and we stuffed ourselves! It was a good meal!! We just went back to the hostel and chilled after that!
Tuesday 15th July
Today was a lazy day, but not intentionally! I made it to the Visitor Centre in the pouring rain and got some information, then decided to wait the rain out... almost an hour later I decided to make a run for it and I hit the Grand Canyon.... Cafe for lunch. Once I finished up there the rain had dulled to a spattering so I went for a walk around town again and poked my way around some funky shops! I just made my way back to the hostel and got caught up on tinternetty stuff and then watched The Perfect Storm (very apt for the weather we've been having!). Then I got my gear together and walked (or staggered under the weight of my bag) to the AMtrak station and boarded my train to San Diego! Woohoo, I was looking forward to getting back there!
Wednesday 16th July
The overnight train journey went well! My seat buddy was nice and I slept most of the way which is always good! I rolled into Los Angeles then rolled back out again, it was good coz my bags had been sent right through to San Diego so I didn't need to worry about them! The train to San Diego, the Pacific Surfliner, was bunged coz there were big horse races on in Del Mar, 20 mins north of San Diego! I was in the party car it seemed and I was even offered a drink!! Once I got into San Diego I settled myself into the same hostel I was in the last time, but a different room. Then I went out and got some lunch then did a bit of shopping! I got back and decided to go see Hancock which was OK but I was feeling a little homesick so didn't really enjoy it!
Thursday 17th July
Today was the day I discovered why I loved San Diego! I went to Richard Walker's Pancake House for breakfast and oh my Lord!! I've never eaten a breakfast like it!! It was huge!! Amazing, it kept me going the rest of the day!! I then walked to Seaport Village and had a look around. I relaxed in the Marine Park for a bit, my tummy was still way full of food!! Then I decided to go have a look at the USS Midway, a naval ship turned into a maritme museum, it was very interesting! I spent a good 3-4 hours in there!! I then walked up to see the Star of India, a famous sailing ship! I then went to the Edgewater Grill for some food. I was looked at funny in there, alone and looking scruffy! But sure! The food was good! After that I just headed back to the hostel and chatted with Vicky, a girl in my room!
Friday 18th July
Today Vicky and Christy were leaving for LA so I took them to experience the Richard Walker Pancake House! They loved it too! We all rolled outta there and they caught their train, I wud see them again soon! I moved hostels then and then went out to Balboa Park which was stunning!! It was kinda like a little village in the middle of this huge park! Gorgeous, and in the village there were loadsa museums including the Natural History Museum. It was pretty interesting, and made me excited about the Natural History Museum in NY! Then I decided to go to the Science Museum which I shouldn't really have bothered with! It was all for kids, and didn't I feel awkward walking around there on my own!! But I did go to an Imax show, StormChasers, which was really cool! I headed back to the hostel and got talking to a girl who told me about a certain shop, Steve & Barry's that I had to go to... guess I'll go 2moro!!
Saturday 19th July
A lazy start today resulted in a lazy day overall. I went to find this store and I was in heaven!! There was Sex and the City memorabilia and Sarah Jessica Parker's line of clothing, Bitten, all for $8.98 each!! Everything in the store!! So I bought myself a few bits and pieces which was all good!! If it wasn't for the fact I had no space at all I would've bought way more!! I just spent the rest of the afternoon walking around the shops and then I caught the Greyhound to LA. Along the way we passed a funeral directors called Stricklin and Snivelly Funeral Directors, Crematorium and Flower Shop! I couldn't stop laughing... it was like summat outta Family Guy!! Hilarious! So I got to Hollywood and got settled into the hostel then went down and met Vicky and Christy and went for dinner! We went to this Chinese restaurant and the food was great! We left a tip and the girl collected it then came back and told us that in America people tip 15% and walked away!! We couldn't believe it!! So we stupidly put an extra couple dollars in then left! We walked around the Walk of Fame for a bit and saw Michael Caines new prints then I came back to the hostel and said bye to Vicky coz I wudn't see her again!
Sunday 20th July
I woke up extremely early today... DISNEY AWAITS!!!! I met Christy at the Chinese Theatre and we made our way to Disneyland. It took about 2 hours and with every passing minute me and Christy just got more and more excited! The big kids we were, sitting at the back of the bus giggling away! We eventually got to Disney and you can just imagine wot I was like!! We burst through the gates (after almost going into the wrong park... ooops) and went and got ourselves a Disney hotdog and planned our day! We then went round the park hitting every ride we passed!! It was a lot of fun and a lot of really good rides! I swear the smile wasn't off our faces all day! Plus I got to meet my hero... TIGGER!!! And Pooh and Eeyore! So cool! They had a Finding Nemo ride which was bloody awesome and I sooo wanted to back onto it again! But we didnt have time! We caught the end of the fireworks display then ran to Space Mountain! It was like 10 times better than Space Mountain in Paris! Unbelievable!! Then the sad sad time came when we had to leave the park. We ended up back in downtown LA and managed to get lost and stranded. That wasn't fun and after following different directions from 3 different people and still not getting to where we wanted to go, we got a taxi back to Hollywood! It was a scary end to a fantastic day!!!

Cesim don't ever talk s*** about carpenter's the thing. It was Intensly tfiyierrng from the start, with terrifing mystery. A hideous monster that takes any form. An environment so isolated you don't ever feel an ounce of mercy from the director. Relentless fear and suspense, unlike an hour of college antics before you even get to the lame freshman film school gore of hostel, and then a cheery get away safely ending. The thing ends with every one f***ed. Keith david and Kurt russell sitting in the snow knowing they are going to freeze to death, all their comrades are done in, and they sit back and take it like men.During the testing of everyones blood, who doesn't wince when everyone gets their thumbs slashed? And I still don't have the timing down for when the blood leaps from the dish away from the hot wire, It makes me jump (and anyone else, I gaurantee it) every time. The kill bills were silly and spunky with the retro style fetishes but were clearly the begining of the end for tatentino. As the black album was for metallica.
