Short one today as not too much happened apart from travelling.
I woke up and felt awful, my stomach was swollen like a b**** at the top, it was literally like a ball and then the bottom of my stomach went in, I felt sick and it was horrible.
We checked out and the others had breakfast, said goodbye to Hayley and then Katrina and I went to book our bus to siem reap and get on our boat, of course the boat was running late, which by the time I had almost throw up and had to sleep to stop myself, left us a very short amount of time to find the shop where our bus was scheduled to pick us up. And of course no one knew the 'coral dive centre'. So in the midday heat we set off, up the hill, both ill and both tired. We found it and they gave us some iced lemon infused water, I have never been so thankful. That was until I went to the toilet with an upset stomach and promptly threw up in the sink, laaaaaaavely. Once on the bus it was horrible, we did not have a sleeper bus because it was full for the next two days and the seats were broken, luckily mine was broken so it reclined so I just appreciated the mercy and went to sleep. Not before the bus tried to leave without me because I was on the toilet. I tell you running across a bus station, s*** almost falling out your arse is not the best scenario anyone could have. But alas, I made it through the journey without s***ting myself once. When we got to or stopover in Phnom Penh we were supposed to be there for 2 hours, but our bus had run late and we were only there for 20 minutes, they were a glorious 20 minutes that I pissed out my a******* and made me feel a lot better.
On to the next bus, it was a locals bus, but by this point I was so tired and ill I just slept through it again. Once we finally arrived in siem reap, around 20 hours after we initially began our journey from hell, it was dark, we were in the middle of nowhere, we had $4 between us and we had no transport. Luckily, a very nice tuktuk man agreed to take us for the $4 and helped us find a hostel, in return for us letting him take us to the temples the following day (work for him). We tried 3 'hostels' not really like the ones we had been staying in, an they were all full. We eventually found one, with no aircon, just a broken fan. We sighed and agreed, not wanting to search anymore and just to go to bed. But our day was not over, they wanted to charge us $6 each to check in early?! The room was only $5 each in the first place. We huffed and declined and slept on the benches until check in.
