Actually she did finally wear those shoes to a party at Strata! They did look very nice but as it was the night she arrived back from her DofE I'm not sure that she found them so comfortable.
The prom dress is black and white- mostly black with a high waist, a floaty skirt and a really pretty sweetheart neckline. she looks lovely in it!
By the way I found your certificates exactly where you said they were - the reason you couldn't find them is that the envelope was white, not brown!
I would like to say I'm still enjoying the Easter holidays - but I'm still tidying your bedroom!!!
love

Mum
Hi there
How are you now? Dad cycled to Sheffield again yesterday and is now off in the Dales. Lara tried on 18 dresses in Sheffield and has found a beautiful prom dress. I am exhausted!
How are the weather reports coming? and the pictures?
lots of love
Mum
I mention the weather all the time! It rained really heavily last night btw, and my flood defences worked, I cant believe you told Lara where my cash is, the reason I keep it there is so that she cant nick it, Im taking loads of pictures but I havent found anywhere to print them yet, so I dont want to plug my camera into the computers here and risk losing everything. Whats her prom dress like and is she going to wear those gold shoes with it? Having insisted you buy them shes never once worn them

So you are abusive to all your relations and not just me so that is proof that it is defniately you that is horrid and not me - perfect. What have youo ben doing since you went out slaughtering the natives - don't do that to my koala. My nice niece is going to Morroco for a trip - that is a sensible idea and she is bring me back a meercat 'cos she is lovely. We are all of the Great Yarmouth for a week and I am going to get you a pressie - you will love it. Your room is a mess but I am going up in the holidays to paint it pink and alter all your clothes so the buttons fasten at the back - where you are going your arms will cross your front and be tied at the back to stop you hurting yourself so I though I would try and acclimatise you. How is your hair? I hope you don't tell people that you look like Auntie Jackie - the fact that they think you are an endangered species is probably the only thing that is keeping you safe! Be good.X
Mum
Did you work out that the golden child was my idiot brother? You would think that with all that education he would be able to work out that he was your uncle!
Dad and Bertie have been very busy building up miles for the ride across Britain this weekend. Lara's off on her DofE practice expedition - and the weather is okay for that. Still cleaning your bedroom...
lots of love
Mum
I did manage to figure it out... a medicine degree is worth nothing anymore... you can't possibly still be cleaning my room, I tidied it before I left
The Golden Child
Hi Cuz,
How's things going? Had the s***s yet? I want a hat made from a white leopard on your way home cheers.
Belated Happy Birthday for the 4th.
Thanks John, unfortunately they tend to frown on people having clothes made from endangered animals nowadays, it miht have been ok when you were young (all those many many years ago) but not now

So you are another year older but no wiser! Having a good time by the sound of things! Happy birthday for yesterday - had a lovely cake in your honour. The easter bunny won't have delivered you any eggs so I will make one ready for your return. At Mo's today with the usual gang - can you guess where allthe men are? Be good.
Mum

Hi Nadia, Happy Birthday for the 4th. Love from Mo & Tom.
Mum
Happy birthday to you!!!
Doesn't it sound better when you can't hear me singing??!!
Your trip sounds absolutely amazing, I can't wait to see some photos. The ones we had taken before you left have arrived - but you won't look the girl in those pictures at all.
Lots of love
Mum
Since I've been away have you forgotten when my birthday is? It's not till sunday :P, but yes, it does sound better when you don't sing, when I've got some of my photos backed up I'll start attempting to upload my favourites onto here
Annis
Hey Nadia,
Just had a quick catch up reading your blogs, it sounds like you're having an immense time! When do we get to find out how the children placed in the "straight talk" thing? You're doing so many interesting things and the waterfall sounds fantastic! Interested in what you're doing next so keep up with the blogs :D
xx
Thanks Annis, really great to hear from you, the straight talk kids came 2nd overall, they lost to kids from a much better school who did a really amazing break-dancing routine, so it was an amazing result

So you horrible child you carry on but can't be bothered to do a blog. Don't see any point in your travels if they don't involve koalas. I hope the pooe children are not scared of you - do they know you are of a species all of your own? Update your blog I want to know what you are doing. Thomas says 'hello'
Hey thomas, tell your horrible mother that there are other animals in the world apart from koalas, and that if she won't shush I'll bring back a snake with a really lovely pair of fangs for her
Mum
Hi there - I've just spent 2 days - yes that's right 2 whole days tidying your bedroom. Every missing sock in the world was in that room I am absolutely certain and it now looks gorgeous!
Class 2 wanted to know is it hot in Tanzania. Have you had any rain?
Mum wants to know if you need anything
Auntie Fiona is coming home from Canada for a holiday and you're going to miss her.
Keep in touch
love Mum xxxx
ps we were sitting / we sat NOT we was sat! (did you sy you were teaching English?)
It was already tidy! I knew where everything was and it was a kind of art deco organised chaos thing, the tate were going to pay me millions for it! And the internet out here is so slow that I don't always see my typos, it's quicker to use jungle drums
