Hey guys,
So long since I wrote here ive been all over the south island now from Queenstown to Stewert Island and Christchurch. I can't believe how beautiful this country I keep saying nothing will beat this but as i go around another corner i'm blown away again!! Abel Tasman NP is meant to be stunning but as usual its pouring with rain so soon move on but we did stay with some cute lamas such werid animals.
Then it was Barrytown which was amazing we had the best time. Its tradition for the guys to dress up as girls but as there was only 4 blokes including our driver we all joined in so cool spent hours getting different outfits on so much fun. Rob our driver filmed our catwalk show on my video cam so will have to show it to you when i get back it was so much fun ive not laught to much in a long time. The next day we went to make some Knifes with a local. So cool had to heat up the metal in a hot hot fire, hammered it a few times and got the guy to help me then sanded it on huge sanders hammered some more then polished and after a long day i'm now an owner of a huge knife. The guy was a character so much fun he then shared his home brewed run with us soooooo strong but yummy!!!
Went to Franz Joesf which is amazing mountains and a glazier totally amazing that night we decided we wanted to dress up again the only thing we had was our underwear so off we went with bras and pants on top we looked soooo good. The scary thing is quickly we forgot we were wearing them until blokes were starting at us and we could work out why! But that night ended in a bit of disaster when we were running down a hill and a guy behind me fell pushing me head first in to the ground. Huge brusied and bleeding knees, big blood blister on my fingers and i was convinced i had knock all my teeth out! but they are still there but one has move and one had tarmac in it!! when will i learn!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Stayed in w***a a stunning small town on a lake front so pretty i loved it could have stayed forever. We took an afternoon to Puzzling world which was fasinating one room is made on a tilt and made me so sick and dizzy i had to leave. only to feel just a dizzy after an 1hr in the maze it was so difficult but made it before two guys so not too embarresing.
Queenstown was also so much fun Kayaking on the lake was brilliant go on the sky gondla which had the best view of the mountains and valleys ive never seen anything like it. watched a few bungy jumps but not even slitly temped to do it. But the best night was Halloween two of my friends dress up as conjoined twins and they won the best dressed of the night top prize a sky dive so cool. Debs went as a tacky american tourist and i went as a hawian print as thats all i could find in a charity shop, 1 crazy Shirt and 1 pair of crazy shorts!!! the best night tons of free drinks and crazy dancing.
Mildford sound was a little disapointing not sure what i expected but not quite what i wanted. I still as beauitful and get waterfalls. i had taken so many travel sickness pills that i fell a sleep hanging over the side of the boat!! OOOPPS. I think the best bit was the drive down huge mountians, the best bit was driving thru a one way tunnel and emerging into the valley of a thousand waterfalls WOW totally amazing. We stayed the night in the world famous sausage captial in the world...well it was an intersesting town nothing there but these sausages which it has to be said were not very nice.
stewert island was fantastic but again i took loads of travel sickness pills and was a little out of it when i got to the hostel i slept from 1.30-6pm OOOPPPS!! This little island is amazing small fishing village and nothing else but empty beaches and pretty rain forest and coast walks. but way to steep for my liking! took a ferry over to Ulva island no one live there anymore which means loads of native birds, plants and animals can now live there safely. so beautiful loads a parrots and birds just flying around us a cute NZ robin (which is black and white) is so tame, if you rub the ground with your feet he will come and dig for worns and bugs right by you. Its so peaceful here i can't believe places like this still exsist. We had bonfire night there and unlike Oz they celabrate it but they have no saftly laws and kids were lighting them in their hands and throughing them, one guy held a rocket under his arm and lit the end lucky it headed out to sea but Crazy Kiwis at their craziest.
