Wow, hard to believe that we have been here for over 6 months. We are enjoying living in Jakarta and my new title is Princess. I can't be a housewife as I don't do housework! Going to try putting that on as my occupation next time I travel, although I have to be careful in the UK - perhaps trophy wife would work better?
We have travelled heaps in the last 2 months. I surprised myself by returning to Australia first - headed to Melbourne for a weekend for a friend's birthday party - which was fun. I then returned for a day and a half and the whole family flew to Hong Kong. We took the kids to Disneyland, the Peak, tram rides, the light show, lots of walking and Chinese food. Disneyland was great - we only needed a day there, we skipped a couple of rides, but went on everything that we wanted too, including Space Mountain, Tea cups, and the Buzz Lightyear shooting game/ride. We also went into Toyland, which I read recently is exclusive to Asia. Here we were the size of the toys, everything was upsized. We had a great time and can recommend others to make this trip.
When we returned to Jakarta, Guy went to Canberra for a week for work. He caught up with friends, family and a disappointing Raiders Game.
Guy and I went to Bali for a work function, where I just relaxed and chatted with new friends. Foot reflexology, swimming, remininscing about our visit there 12 years ago, and lunch on the beach were highlights. A short visit, with just over 24 hours in Bali. It is only a short trip to get there (1.5 hours).
The other week we went to Singapore (our second visit). We stayed at Clarke Quay again but went to different places. Highlights included the Singapore Flyer (Singapore Eye), which at the moment is the largest one in the world, a toy museum, stamp museum and China Town at night.
We still have some travel booked in, so I will update you later with those.
Still having fun!
