The official launch of Platform2 took place today at Lambeth College, Vauxhall in London.The main attraction was renowned hip-hop artist Sway. After head of programme Mark did a quick introduction, Sway spoke articulately and passionately about his homeland Ghana and how important it is for people in the UK to visit developing countries to understand more about their culture and how people live.There was a great atmosphere as over 50 students from the college joined a number of the volunteers going on the 1st trips to find out more about the programme… and to meet Sway and ask him about his new album.Media coverage has included MTV News, BBC1Xtra and Kiss FM as word of the scheme keeps spreading.
