Today I left Magnetic Island and got the ferry back to Townsville. I had some hours to burn before my Greyhound bus to Airlie Beach so I went to the Great Barrier Reef Aquarium which tries to recreate a reef that visitors can view through underwater glass tunnels. It was ok but not really worth the money. I got on my bus with some Swedish sisters and the bus drove us to Ayr where Charlie got on with a mad Irishman called Pete from Cork. We watched a film on the bus called "Day After Tomorrow" it was ok but a bit unrealistic. We stopped at a petrol station and then continued the drive to Airlie Beach. We arrived at 8pm and walked to our hostels. We arranged to meet for pizza later. We had 2-for-1 pizzas in the restaurant and then walked the short distance to Paddy Shenanigans where there was a live band playing. I had a few beers and then went to bed when the band finished. Tomorrow I reckon I'll just chill out by the lagoon.
