From my experience I know that the language is quite hard to learn...I could reinforce this to Chinese if I should be correct.The language is really similar to Russian and most of the words are similar to each other. This is why most Bulgarian people seem to be learning Russian even if it is hard for the Bulgarians (as my friend told me!).If your first language is English then I would not suggest you to start learning Bulgarian.
