Went on an elephant trek today. I had a 12yr old male called biebo. He was the youngest of the group but definitely the giddiest! He was really clever too and enjoyed singing along the journey. I got the opportunity to sit up front on biebo.. It was hard to keep your balance especially going down the rocky hills. After, myself and some of the others went exploring on foot, and we came across this secluded beach in the front of a really lovely resort with monkeys!.. We walked about a mile up and round one of the mountains on this rickerty rockerty wooden walkway.. The signs were saying follow at your own risk.. The walkway was pretty unstable.
James and rich didn't fancy the elephant trek so they took a boat to Reilly beach, as that is the only way of getting to it. Apparently because of the rain it was flooded so you couldn't really sit on the beach. Reilly is known for it's deathly mountain faces great for rock climbing. Rich managed to make it up even though it was very slippery from the rain. James claims he didn't have the correct attire for the job and so only managed to get a metre up before he slipped back down. They then decided to treat themselves, as they do everyday, to not only another massage but a pancake smothered in snickers that was apparently mouth watering.. I was thinking probably more sickly.
Weather has been overcast but obviously warm today, and no rain..bonus! I stayed in this evening, got an upset stomach. James and rich went out for some food and came back to hotel with the others for beverages. Had some happy news today two of our group members have got engaged.. He proposed to her on the beach.. How sweet!
Got a 10 hr journey to Penang tomorrow. Krabi has been lovely and definitely somewhere to consider for a revisit.
