I am still jetlag, having woken up at 3am. I stay in bed and the next time I wake up thinking its 6am its 3.45pm. I don't think I ever remember the last time that I ever struggled to sleep or looked forward to the sunrise so badly. At 6.30 am. I went running with two Washington university-Daniela and Britney. It was great running the second time this year. We ran for 40mins along the river. The run was refreshing since they pushed me to run faster since they are good runners who run regularly. I do hope to run more during summer just to keep fit. Though I hate the process during running I do love the after feeling. I feel much healthier. Since I had missed dinner I missed the communication concerning our group and also due to miscommunication from one of the Hong Kong students I ended up missing the bus for my group. I ended up joining the next group that went to make the prosthetics. It was a big deal however since the thing I missed was an opening ceremony for a camp that was mostly done in Chinese. We later joined together in Shaoguan University where we had lunch together. Though the lunch wasn't the best it was ok. For the first time I was on the other side of the being the guest rather that being the normal host local students. The site of students lining up to get food and looking at the visitors reminded me a lot of high school. After lunch our group went for Hiking. I think this will be one of the fun parts of this trip. It was such an adventurous experience hiking with the group. We made lots of jokes and most of us were drenching in sweat once we got to the peak. We were able to have a great view of the shaoguan city and also go to climb the tower. It was my first time seeing a temple and it was exciting climbing up the five floors and having an even better view of the city. We took a good number of pictures. Later that evening we had Beijing duck. I liked it but the problem is that I couldn't eat a lot. At night we had a Tara show no talent show in celebration of Tara's birthday. It was fun seeing various talents and some shows which were funny or as some may say silly. I must say it was an awesome day.
