Nick didn't sleep well last night, as he was too worried he's sleep through the alarm! He had to get up early as the car was booked in for a service in the city to make sure it runs well over the next six months. Katharine went with him and they left at 7am while the rest of us slept on. We eventually got up, had a very relaxed breakfast and the kids shot off to play while I did some laundry. By mid morning it was time for school and it didn't go well. By the time Nick got back at lunch I had lost my temper with both boys and called it quits with only half the workload done! We spent the afternoon around the pool trying to cool off and then around 5pm headed into Darwin to Mindil Beach to explore the sunset markets. The markets were absolutely packed but great fun! We had a hard time deciding what we wanted to eat as there was so much choice but once we'd all got something we went and sat on the beach and ate while watching the sun set. We then did a second lap of the food stalls for drinks and desserts and returned to the beach again. It was getting dark by the time we finished so Nick walked the three smaller ones back to the car and Katharine and I had a quick look around the craft stalls. There were buskers everywhere and they were all really good, as well as people on stilts, fire eaters - all sorts! It was a shame to leave but it was too crowded for the smaller ones and Annie in particular was quite scared. When we got home the kids from next door were playing outside so ours ran off to join them and we had a chat to their parents. It was after ten by the time everyone got to bed!
