It was very humid over night and the Jayco Expanda came into its own when we unzipped all the bed ends and let the air flow through the van - perhaps its not such a bad van after all!! Last night the kids befriended two boys from NSW who are flying home today. They had hired a campertrailer and toured the NT. Before leaving today their parents came over with two huge boxes full of pantry items and gave it all to us which was very kind and we are now fully stocked again! The kids ate very little breakfast preferring to run off and play instead so Nick and I ate in peace and then had to round them up to head into Darwin. We drove down to the Darwin Wharf, found a park and had a walk around the wave lagoon, the sea wall and all the restaurants and shops there. We bought an ice cream and a coffee and sat watching people enjoy the water. We then drove through the centre of the city and saw Government House and Parliament House before cruising along the Esplanade and Bicentennial Park. Before we headed home we called into a shopping centre in Palmerston and got some fresh bread for lunch. Darwin is a great city to drive around! We spent the rest of the afternoon around the pool and the jumping pillow but Jonny and Anna kept getting into trouble and so the smaller ones all got put to bed not long after finishing dinner!
