Hi Pitsea Juniors
I have heard about your new climbing wall. That sounds good. Perhaps I can see a photo. I hope the weather is warming up for you.
We have spent a weekend in a local village and that was fascinating. We went by boat and it poured with rain but it was still warm. We took a skipping rope- well a piece of rope that you could skip with- and the children all crowded round to see what we were doing. Two of us turned the rope but the children didn't know what to do so my husband showed them and another lady showed them but although they watched and laughed none of them would have a go. We also took some bubbles and when I blew a stream of bubbles out all the children looked amazed but none of them tried to catch one. I showed them how to clap on them and then they all played happily for ages. They took some persuading to have a goo blowing the bubbles but they really enjoyed it. Pigs, dogs and chickens wandered around the village. We slept on the floor under a mosquito net but unfortunately a coackroach got in and crawled across my face.Ugh
We have had to learn tok pisin which is the local language. It has been hard learning the words and the spelling and when the teacher says write a story I am completely dumbfounded.
I hope you are enjoying pictures etc.
