Hallo Pitsea Juniors
I know you are on half term at the moment. How is the snow? Is it all clear now. It was very strange leaving England in thick snow and arriving in Papua New Guinea in bright sunshine. We have been swimming everyday either in the hotel pool or in the sea. On Saturday we went in a boat snorkelling and it was like swimming in an aquarium. We have visited lots of schools- mosty primary schools so far. The children are lovely and smile and wave but when we go closer they are shy and giggle and hide. The schools are very basic. Some have no electricity and some have no fresh water. The children are very keen to learn and work hard whether any teacher is present or not. We went to see an assembly and it was outside and the children sang the national anthem and said the oath while the flag was raised. It was lovely.
