We all wake pretty early and decide on a walk along the beach. The weather is once again outstanding. After a half an hour or so, we encounter some fishing boats near to shore. These are closely followed by Pelicans and as luck would have it, a few Dolphins. I'm prepared with the camera and manage to get a couple of half decent shots. What a great morning. Today happens to be Laura's Birthday which makes it all a little more special. I rise early to prepare a little happy birthday email - I've booked us an apartment in Paris for the last weekend in June. Laura gets up a little later, opens her cards, reads email, everyone is happy. We head off to a flea market that we'd spotted a few days earlier. Today we hop straight on the bikes and this time head to the South of the island. It's about half an hours ride, almost completely flat, the sun is shining and the sea is calm. We stop for a few pictures on the way, then take a few more on arriving at the southerly tip. We both laugh about a stretch of the route being designated as a 'Segway Zone'. Not a Segway in sight. After breakfast, we again hit the beach. The weather is really starting to heat up and we're now in the mid to high 20s. My head has trouble dealing with this, it being the middle of January and all. Today we chill. We hit the beach, the weather is superb and we all get a bit sunburnt. We take a walk, a few miles along the beach to a bar, aptly named The Sandbar. The Yanks are watching the (American) Football. It's play-off season and it's all very serious. As the game reaches it's climax, a guys shouts "It's a ball game". He's right you know.
