Just a quick post to let you all know I'm still alive. Sorry I've been so rubbish at keeping up to date with this but the last week has been absolutely manic! Just to very briefly update you, I spent a week in Barcelona in the end (I've fallen in love with the place) and then I went to Madrid for three days and met up with some friends from Barcelona. I left Madrid at 10:45pm last night and arrived in San Sebastian at around 6:45am this morning. I wandered along until I found the beach and then I stood and watched the sun rise over the bay -not a bad light in which to discover a new town.

I've been to the Tourist Office and have kinda got my bearings, now all that's left to do is to try to find a bed for the night! Proving a tad tricky though so far as San Sebastian appears to be sold out. Also, nobody understands me when I speak English or attempt to speak Spanish. I will keep trying though and should I prove successful I'll write a long rambly blog of triumph later this evening, and should I prove otherwise...well, let's not think about that. I might have to head to Bilbao and get a hostel there I guess. At least that way I get to see the Gugenheim!
