After the crater, we decided to go and visit the Dole Pineapple plantation in the middle of the island. We visited te gift shop on our last visit, but disn'r have time for the maze, gardens or train. So as he weather isn't looking too good today, it seemed like an excellent idea. The sat nav had other ideas, it was in no mood to e sending us anywhere, so it was back to road signs and paper maps. Whih is interesting when ou can't pronounce any of he road and place names. Thankfully, it wa fairly easy to find H1 and then it was a case of keeping an eye out for signs to the 99. Last time we came here, it was via the north Shore, so it didn't actually seem to take us very long his time. We did pass a Wal Mart on the way out so that is going to be a stop I he way back. He plantation itself is prettying much just a gift shop. We took he pineapple express, and at 8 dollars each ut'a not worth it. You go on a short rude around 'he plantation' and a pre recorded track tells you that the pineapples arwn't grown here anymore, and the cannery is somewhere else and they show you some empty fields and a reservoir. Frankly you'll see more pineapple driving around the island. We did have some pineapple ice cream, which was actually with the 5.19 that I paid for it. Very pineapplely, especially when it has chopped pineapple on top as well. We bought a crude magnet for us, and then tried to get some spices that Neil had spotted earlier on, but by had sold out. We didn't do the maze or he garden tour as I think we'd seen enough fruit. So we got. So we got back in the car and headed for Wal Mart.
