Hello,

I'm now in Mission Beach - not that far south from Cairns.  We're here for two nights and I have a free day tomorrow as everyone else is off white water rafting.  Not sure what I'm going to do tomorrow as swimming in the sea or paddling is off limits due to box jellyfish.  I'll probably just lounge around and enjoy having a day to myself.

The cruise to the Great Barrier Reef was good.  It was slightly rough on the way out so for 2.5hrs I sat there with my head in my hands looking down trying not to be sick.  I went into the sea with flippers and sort of attempted snorkelling but didn't really get the hang of it.  The cruise back was thankfully a lot smoother.  And just because I haven't quite had enough of boats yet, I've signed up to go to the Whitsunday Islands in a couple of days!!
