after getting fattened up in Hendaye from family Mandy and I arrived in Barcelona to deal with some train scheduling issues. After getting our future reservations together we battled the subway and successfully saw the light of day... which then we proceeded to read a map wrong and walked La Rambla for way too long. so we finally found our hostel then set up camp and walked Las Ramblas. there's an amazing open air market with meats and fruits and vegetables, etc. very cool. then we headed towards the more commercial location where we found some pretty decent deals on tops and skirts. the weather is warm.. (technically hot for us san francisicans) so it was nice getting to bust out some shorts and tank tops. the beach is great and we already met 2 californians from the east bay that recently moved here. small world! we'll be here till the 6th of june then off to milan then ROME!!! onward we go!
