Bondi Beach........... Well here I am on Bondi Beach… I love it here…!Staying at the Bondi Beachouse YHA… a really nice hostel…. By far the best so far…!The beach is wicked…. Very busy at the moment with Christmas and New Year upon us…!!The water is amazing…. I’ve never seen waves quite like it…! They must be at least 8ft on some days…! Surfers everywhere…!Christmas Eve I did a bar-b-que for near on everyone in the hostel… we arranged it through reception…. People paid…. I cooked…!! We had a really good day… the dining room was packed out…! Every one in their Christmas hats eating shrimps off of the bar-b…!!Christmas day was a little difficult… just not the same at all…! There were Christmas decs and things up in the hostel which was a little something I suppose, but as for it being Christmas… nothing like home….!We went out for Christmas dinner… couldn’t find anywhere selling a Christmas dinner… so we had to settle for the next best English thing…. an Indian…!! Was quite funny….!!Christmas day consisted of sitting on the beach…. doing not a lot… couple of games of beach cricket and some volleyball….!New Years Eve soon dawned upon us… and what a mental one this was going to be…!We headed out at 12 mid-day to get a decent spot at Circular Quay to watch the fireworks from the bridge and the Opera House…! We were a stones throw from the front doors of it…! Wicked spot…!So at 9 O’clock they let the first lot of fire works off for the kids… and we thought that was amazing…. Nothing compared to what they let off at mid-night…!!So we sat there for the last 3 hours waiting for the next lot… and it was worth every minute of the 12 hour wait…! Darling Harbour, Circular Quay, The Rocks, Colloroy, The Opera House and the whole of Sydney just went mental…!! Never seen anything like it…!!After the fireworks were over we had tickets for Hed Kandi in Darling Harbour so we headed over there and rocked on through until 8 in the morning…!! I was in bits and so was pretty much every one else…!!
After New year and Christmas were over it was pretty much the same thing most days…. Do a little work if it was there…. Go to the beach, head into town, washing, shopping and sleeping…!!! Did a lot of Kayaking with Sam… that was enjoyable… thought I needed to do some sort of exercise at some point… so that was the way forward…!!Our last night in Bondi was one not to forget… had a really good time with all the friends I had met whilst there… some friends for life…Had a really good time in Bondi… and 7 weeks into it, it was time to leave and move onwards…. Byron Bay is the next stop…. As good as its been, it’ll be good to see some new scenary…Bye Bye Bondi…. Good Morning Byron
