Well after the dreaded bus ride overnight i arrived in Brunswick after a rasta taxi man dropped me off! Met Tara, Inga and Elisha aka the roomates and had a bit chat on the couch! Then me n Elisha decided we'd head to the MCG to watch sydney swans take on richmond for my first ever afl aussie rules fotty game! The 100,000 seater stadium must be the best iv ever been in, tho with 52,000 fans it appeared quite quiet! Absolutely scorching day with the 'bloods' winning after a close encounter!
We then headed along to the Rod Laver Arena, along the yarra valley, into Young and Jacksons to Chloe's room for a drink then to the largest casino in the southern hemisphere, Crown which much like any other casino in vegas was exactly how i expected! Won $20 which was then tossed away and ended up catching the tram back!
On sunday i booked the trip to tazzie and the neghbours tour in the morning then headed to Victoria Market and spotted a couple of camels as well as plenty of the same merchandise as Paddy's market in Sydney but considerably bigger! Then i went into town and saw a comedy show in fed square with 2 matadors as it was comedy festival. I then trooped along to the Telstra dome and with 10mins left the gates were open so sneaked in and caught the last 10mins of the essington game! Another top circular venue!
Met up with Boyle and the girls before heading back, grabbing some food and headin out to chapel street to hryst and got blasted for some girl's leaving do! Head plenty of tales from around the country from a little traveller!
In the morning we headed up to Bendigo to with Inga and Elisha to see some parade! Started getting hot post-nightout flushes but saw the longest chinese dragon in the world and a whole bunch of less impressive features! The town had previously been made famous for its gold mining back in the day but since the mines dried up, the place has become a bit of a ghost town!
The next day, i headed to ramsay street (actually called Pine Ave or something) with the Scottish girls! Had a little trip to Washington Primary Language School (better known as Erinsborough High) and then met up with Dr Darcey to cap off a truly momentous, slightly scamful few hours!
Spent the rest of the day in St Kilda, a really cute little town right by the beach (although after coming from Sydney, its pretty lame and has absolutely no surf!) Had a stroll along the pier and saw the most enormous jellyfish swimming around, literally the size of a coffee table, mahooosive! Then went and treated myself to a wee cake in one of the best cake shops iv ever seen!
