Milla and Jonny's Travels
Apologies for the lack of journal entries. We are in a town called Coff's Harbour which is a bit dead and slightly backward (think "Muriel's Wedding"). Our reason for being here was to do a cheap Scuba-diving course in order to get our PADI licences, however, that plan has failed as they don't allow diabetics to dive. Needless to say we are both disappointed and our having to rethink our plans quite a lot.
Our stay in Sydney was very good, it is a beautiful and exciting city which you could spend weeks exploring. On our second day there, we went up the Skytower, the tallest building in Sydney, from which the views are amazing (photos will follow, but we have lost our camera wire so there will be a wait).
We were advised to get away from the city for a night and have a bit of a bish adventure in the Blue Mountains (about a 2 hour train journey from Sydney central). The views of the mountians were breathtaking. After walking through the bush for what felt like an eternity (in reality only two hours) we reached the three sisters, three huge rock formations, steeped in aboriginal history. Definitely the hightlight of the blue mountains. From this point we took a ride on a cable car, which descended down to the valley floor. The only way back up from this point is to take the scenic railway, the steepest railway in the world at a whopping 52degree incline. We sat ourselves at the back of this train with only our legs stopping us from falling out of the large gaping hole in front of us. Very exciting.
Not a lot else to mention at the moment. We will start updating more regularly and will get some more pictures uploaded. Until then, goodbye.
