From Darwin we flew to Perth for an overnight stay. It looked as though we could have filled a few days there, but it was only due to the vagaries of our round the world tickets we were there in the first place. From Perth we flew to Singapore.

Well we finally got to drink a Singapore Sling in Singapore in the famous Raffles Hotel.

We also took a trip on the Sky Flyer 160m at the tallest point. We had splendid views over Singapore and beyond to Malaysia and Indonesia. There is much building going on here in this vibrant city. It is high density living here with about 4.2 million people in an area of 226 square miles. A sharp contrast to the Northern teritory of Australia where there are 220,000 people in an area around 8 times the area of Great Britain.
