Just to let you know I am keeping a 'green with envy' eye on your travels and love Fiona's entries. It was great fun meeting you on the Galapagos cruise. Julia has been back since to see Ephron. We have had a lot of 'Darwin' programmes on the TV as it is the 200th anniversary year of his birth. Hope the speeches went well in connection with your charity work. I went riding in Spain for a few days at the end of February and my next big trip is the Okavango delta in Botswana in July - tracking game on the horses.

25 years on and you had to stay in Arenal !! -- so that's where the name comes from or perhaps it means something like 'mad town on the coast'
You sound like you're having a great time, I'm enjoying the travelogue - looking forward to the rest.

Happy New Year. We have a new baby grandson, Ewan Samuel, born on 12th December. Looking forward to your pictures of the Galapagos islands. Have a great time.

Hello...a secret blog? I only discovered it after noticing a bit of paper by the computer. Ours isn't finished yet...will try to get it done so you can read our Thailand experiences.
Got home safe and sound, with a free night at the novotel Bangkok thrown in as our plane was delayed overnight! I'm back from Christmas at Mia's, and off to London for New Year's Eve.
Hope the Galapagos are good, and Merry Christmas!

Hi both. A belated happy Christmas and an early happy New Year. We envy you your travels in South America and hope all goes well as you proceed around the world over the coming months. We are off on our travels around Africa in less than a week and, unlike you, are not intending to be in electronic contact with any Rotarians! Back home on 19 March, dv.
