Annie drove me with Alex, to Horton in Ribbonsdale, wherer I started my walk today..sun just about still shining so making the most of not wearing my waterproofs and over trousers! Certainly the weather looks better than yesterday..start the walk at 10.20am. Horton is full of weekend walkers, all intending to climb Pen-y ghent. Picked up the route this morning at Malham, with Alan, Alex, Amy and Jeremy with me. Weather looking rather uncertain, but everyone is up for the day. Friday 6th May 2011 (55 miles and 7382ft) Ponden to Malham. Big walk today and we are staying at Wharfdale camp site now for the next 2 days, which means a bit of travelling on the road for Annie, to keep ferrying us backwards and forwards, but it will be worth it, as the site and facilities look good and comfortable.
