Writing this from a magnificent location in Kununurra. Our site is right on the Ord river upstream from the diversion dam. People ski here no worries and Greg and I saw. 3 metre fresh water croc just meters from our camp site. I know freshies aren't suppose to be dangerous but a Half meter mouth full of razor sharp teeth shouldn't be taken lightly.
This morning we departed early realising that when we pass the border will will gain another hour and a half so we pulled over 4 Kms down the road still in view of the Victoria River and took a walk through some break away country through some gorges and into some rugged terrain that was breath taking, especially for me, it was all uphill for 2 Kms.
Our next stop was Gregory tree, why did we stop there? It was interesting though a Boab tree that had calvings in it from 1847.
We crossed the border into good old WA and were stripped of all our fruit and veges. Quarantine is very strict across the border just ask the 4 billion cane toads in Kununurra.
