We took off today for Rockhampton, hoping the magic putty would work. Greg got his stitches out at the local medical centre. He walked straight in and was on the operating table when the nurse asked who his doctor was. Greg said he didn't know and then the nurse asked if he had filled any paper work in. No was the reply. Off the table and into the waiting room. Eventually stitches out we took off.
The road was busy as usual so an even 100 KM was the go. I was driving so Greg Navigated and made the forward booking to Emu Park. The cost was expensive for an unpowered site bot it had its own toilet and shower so, we took it for two days, thinking we may visit Great Kepple Is.
During the trip we saw a horror crash that had just occurred to an oncoming vehicle. Looks like it just left the road and roils into a river bank at speed . It didn't look good for the passengers. We didn't stop as there were already people on site. This did make the trip forward a little slower with not many blinks of the eyes.
On reaching Rockhampton Greg was flicking through the IPad seeing what we could get up to in Emu Park when he discovered he had booked at Emu Point in Albany W.A. Panic, this is school holiday time and there isn't much around when you leave thing to the last minute. Fortunately one site was left, right next to the amenities block and under a tree full of fruit bats.
The old bloke said you need to book at least 12 months in advance to get into this place, we said we booked 1 hour ago, he walked away.
We didn't cook tonight after our bush tucker last night and we went down to the local and had fish and chips with a few
The magic putty worked and we had no leakage onto the alternator so alls well mechanically.
Greg has set up the van really well and after a few beers decided to add some more lights to the outside of the vehicle.
We are now sitting in a blaze of glory with our bay looking like a Christmas tree. Tomorrow we have to move parks as this one is full we will have a look further around the point.

Jordan You gotta book 12 months in advance. :) LOL yeah sure mate! Do you know who we are.
Angela Ha ha that's great. Are the people in Albany still waiting for you to arrive? Reminds me of the couple at the U2 concert who bought their tickets a year before ...:)
