We left gold coast at Currumbin at 11 today after a lovely breakfast made for us by Kelly's mum Liz and then went for supplies, which included 2 fishing rods some tackle, food, rope and a trip to Hungry Jacks.
The rain began almost immediately and has not stopped so our trip along the M1 towards Frazer Island was cut short and we have set up our first camp site at a Caravan park in Beachmere 150 km North from the Gold Coast. Not far I know but at least we are on our way.
Setting up camp in the rain was a challenge but we stayed dry enough to warm up some soup and make a jaffle.
I hope Jordan's sleeping bag is warm because the wind is picking up and it's very cold tonight. Russell Coit would be proud of us. Tomorrows weather is not looking good. Sorry about the cover. I haven't transferred photos yet.
