Our second walk of the day was at Sennen Cove which is situated on the same costal path as Gwithian but much further down and closer to Lands End. The colour of the sea here is gorgeous, a deep bluey green which looks pretty awesome against the golden sand especially as the sunlight fades! Be warned this beach is often crowded all year round!

We spent our New Year in Cornwall and what better way to start the New Year than a walk on my favourite beach? Gwithian Beach has it all a fantastic stretch of golden sand met by an endless clean ocean, a little higher up are the rolling sand dunes and stunning costal walks which you can follow across to either St Ives or Porthtowan. As my partner is from Market Drayton we spent Christmas here. Not only did we have a lovely family Christmas but we also had a lovely and magical wintery walk along the Shropshire Union Canal! It was -6• during the walk but a fast pace and beautiful scenary kept us warm. At times I was terrified that our overexcited Englsh Springer Spaniel, Juno, would fall through the ice but luckily it was several inches thick!
