During the May Bank Holiday a friend and I decided to treat ourselves to a city break in Prague; somewhere we'd both wanted to visit for a while.
Flights from Birmingham International were both cheap and convenient and so with nothing more than hand-luggage we headed off.
Now, you can be forgiven for thinking that Prague is just a place to visit on a stag or hen do but you are mistaken for thinking so.
Prague is a beautifully historic city with a dark, and in many respects, tragic past. To delve into this past I would highly recommend taking a late night ghost walk; we used
http://www.mcgeesghosttours.com/ and our tour guide was excellent, she was both informative and entertaining!
Prague's architecture is also a pleasure to enjoy from fairytale castles and grotto gardens to simply gothic gargoyles and fascinating statues ( a stroll across the Charles Bridge - pictured above - is certainly worthwhile.)
See individual blog entries for more details of this city break that I would recommend to anyone!
