Another lumpy night, but I slept well enough. My after breakfast mile was probably the windiest I've taken. Passing round both ends, especially the covered part behind the Curzon at the bow, was like walking through a wind tunnel.
The Captain said in his 9:00 broadcast (which takes place any time between 9:00 and 10:00) that the weather would be much the same as yesterday for the next couple of days. They've emptied the swimming pools as a precaution.
A couple of passengers, Martin and Elizabeth, have organised a trip to Rotorua from Tauranga (our third port in New Zealand), and we had a meeting in Raffles Bar (also known as Costa Coffee) to decide what we're going to do. Apart from the meeting time, I'm still not sure what's happening!
I finally saw my passport for the first time since we left Southampton. I'm now the proud possessor of four new stamps, two each from Brazil and Chile.
Because of the weather, we thought that deck quoits wouldn't be on, so Phil, Yvonne, Barbara and I played 10 pin bowling in the Wii. Later, Lynda, Norman, Jennifer and John joined us. One of the adjacent Wii's became free, so I played tennis on my own. I'll ache everywhere tomorrow!
There are three dress codes on board, Black Tie, Smart - Jacket Required and Evening Casual. These are sometimes subdivided such as 60's/70's. As I'm typing this the wind is howling, the sea state is rough, it's overcast and there's quite a lot movement. Today's theme? Tropical!!
Lost the Individual Quiz. Won the Pub Quiz (bottle 23) and lost the Syndicate Quiz. Barbara had a headache, so didn't make it to dinner or anything else this evening.
Sea state: very rough. Wind: Force 10. Temperature: 22. Time:23:30.
