Fairly good nights sleep. Weather still cool. Walked a mile after breakfast. Came second in individual quiz, one better than yesterday! The shop has introduced the 2013 World Cruise gear today. I bought a t-shirt and mug. Then off to the Battle of the Sexes day two. The men are now losing by three points.

After lunch I took part in the deck quoits competition. I lost in the first round, but Yvonne was in the winning team. The weather was freezing cold and very windy, I think I'd lost sight of the fact that it's still only January.

Tonight was the first formal night. I managed to tie my bow tie, but it wasn't the best looking bow I've ever tied. It's more difficult when you're wearing a collared shirt than when you practice on a bare neck! I'll get it right eventually. I did have my formal picture taken though.

After dinner watched the show, a Brummie comedian called Steve Tandy. He was OK, the Cruise Director is still rubbish though. After the show we did the Masquerade Challenge again. Came second again, but Linda, Rob, Yvonne and Phil won and got a bottle of wine. Then it was off to the Syndicate Quiz. Had a 'discussion' with the girl running it as she wouldn't accept that one of my answers was right. Eventually, I got the point, as someone produced a dictionary. Finally I was on a winning team. The bottle of wine is sitting in my fridge ready to be drunk at the next Syndicate.
