Despite not putting the light out until 1:00 I was awake at 7:30. Got off early to use the wifi in the Harbour Centre. Unfortunately it wasn't on, so I went reboarded and had breakfast. I went back ashore and just after 9:00 the wifi was switched on. Managed to download emails before it slowed right down. Back on board to meet the others and we all then went ashore.
Phil and Yvonne decided not to come with us. We went on the Star Ferry over to the island. We then took the hop on hop off bus over both routes. Then we hit the Apple store where Linda bought an iPad mini and I was able to update all the apps on my phone. Lunch and then a bus to the Peak. We looked around the Peak and went up the tower. Unfortunately the weather was still misty, so although we saw quite a lot, we didn't see as much as we would have liked.
Then it was on to the MTR to go back to Kowloon and the Ladies Market. This was supposed to be in the same place as the Night Market, but was almost deserted. We're not too sure if we were too late or too early! A gentle stroll back to the ship and a cup of tea in the Orangery before shaving and showering for the evening.
The new captain is on board, rumour has it that he's jinxed. He announced that we would be leaving late, because one of the lifeboats/tenders hydraulic mechanism wasn't working and couldn't lift the boat up from the sea. We left about 2 1/4 hours late. This meant I saw the Light Symphony. This is basically a 15 minute coordinated light show on various buildings on Hong Kong island.
Here endeth week 10.
