We had arrived by the time I woke up. Looking out of my window I could see Hong Kong Island, we were docked at the Ocean Terminal close by the Star Ferry Terminal. The weather was about 18 degrees but really overcast with a slight edge to the breeze.
This is the last day of Sector Three. Captain Hutley left the ship to return to England for the inquest of a woman who jumped overboard last year. Captain Neil Turnbull has joined the ship on his stead.
All six of us (Rob, Linda, Barbara, Phil, Yvonne and I) left the ship together, first we caught the Star Ferry to the island, the we went on a bus to Stanley Market. The girls shopped and the boys went to a bar and drank beer! I recognised it all from Angie's and my visit a few years back. Whilst they were shopping, the girls saw John Major, the guys didn't.
We took a bus back to Central and the Star Ferry to Kowloon. After a quick snack on board, it was about 16:00, Phil, Yvonne and I headed up the road to the Night Market, which was OK. On the way there I bought a new camera and on the way back, so did the others!
I showered and changed and headed off for Mongkok, I ate dinner in Langham Place, next door to the hotel we stayed in on the last visit, before going out for the evening.
