After a nice breakfast at thunderbird Restaurant while enjoying watching the Tiny hummingbirds, we headed off for a day exploring Zion park. Stopped first to see the checkerboard rocks. Then headed down into the canyon. Half hour later and lots of switchbacks and 2 tunnels, we hopped on a shuttle bus armed with bottles of water for the days hiking. Alyssa's word for the sights coming into the canyon as we were driving was majestic. That's exactly what it was. Majestic!!!
Timmy loved running off the main trail to climb all of the side rocks. Jeremiah usually followed. He refuses most times to look for a posed photo. I have to be clever about it. Did you know he is ticklish on his neck?
After hiking a 2 mile riverside walk, and a 1 mile Weeping Trail walk we were all ready for a break and some food. We had a wonderful patio early dinner with a great view of towering rock cliffs surrounding us.
Lastly we headed 1.2 miles to the Emerald pool where there was a large tricking waterfalls and then headed 1.2 miles back. We were all ready to head for the hotel. The kids were anxious to swim when we got back. The weather for the day was a pretty hot 90 degrees but cooled off quickly while we hun out at the pool.
