Today I slept in until 4:00pm!!! Ooopsie!
Who cares though, we're not limited for time here, so I'm still going to see all of the sights, it's not as if I'm missing out on anything! Tomorrow Din leaves and me and Annie want to check into his hotel instead as he gets air con included in his room for $12 AND has cable tv and it's a more spacious room, plus you don't have to wake the whole family to come traipsing through the door at 5:00am like last night! So I promise we will get up and see some sights tomorrow :)
We went to the same restaurant across the road from our guesthouse, they know our order and our favourite seat by now! I have the ham tagliatelle in creamy carbonara sauce! I could live off of it, they make pasta so good in Vietnam! And I do love tagliatelle ;)
Then we went for a walk around the city and parks over sunset! Seems so weird, I've just woken up and it's getting dark!
Stopped for smoothie on the way! Whole actual fruits crushed into a blender with a tiny bit of yogurt, so healthy and completely fresh and cost £1.20! Would you ever get that in England, I think not! And the fruit wouldn't taste as good anyway I think the watermelon and durian are native to here!
We went out that night to the stall again for cheap pre drinks and then to find 61 club as we're clearly not going to Lush tonight!
Walked forever to try find it, right the way at the other end of the night market and it looks hidden outside as its a building with no windows inside of a glass building! It looks so cool and it's expensive but it's good fun, everyone was so dressed up though and were wearing shorts!
So totes too embarrassed to dance but we checked it out and had one (expensive) drink, and got correct change! And good service! The club is modern and has a huge wall of LED's that react to the sound so it's a cool hangout but everyone is wearing dresses and jeans with shirts and blazers! If only I had a wardrobe or actual coat hangers!!! Not a stupid bag to cram my whole life into! Tough life :(
Seen as we have to be up for tomorrow to make my blog sound better and actually learn something about Saigon we left... Walked to get noodle soup from a stall down our street, always vegetarian when it comes to noodle soup, we stressed this to the woman but still, to Annie's delight it contained a few chunks of pork meat! Being the true 20 year old vegetarian she is she picked it out and ate around it, what a trooper! Got short changed for the 5th time since arriving here! Didn't let it slip though.... Laverrrly!!!
