We have had a fantastic couple of days in Dubrovnik. Temperatures have been around 28 deg.
When we arrived we headed straight to the ocean sunbathing area of the hotel. Great place to chill out, read a book, and take a dip in the sea.
Later on we walked down to the Old City and had a great dinner looking out over the water.
Today we got up early and toured the City Walls which took a couple of hours. We were advised to do this early as it approaches 30deg later in the day and also there are crowds of cruise ship passengers. This was a fantastic experience - amazing views over the sea. Sad to see some of the damage caused by bombing in 1991. It took around 2 hours to do a complete circuit.
Went back to the hotel to enjoy some more sunbathing by the pool area.
We booked a kayak tour in the afternoon which was fun. Paddled around the Old City and explored some caves, did some snorkeling then did a circuit of Lokrum Island. The guide commented that I had "good paddling technique" however Sarah had a different perspective!
Finally we had a nice fish dinner at a local restaurant with some excellent Croatian wine.
