Depsite my knee giving me quite a bit of grief, i have not been able to stop myself from snowboarding. We have only seen 3cm of fresh snow in the past 3 weeks so we've had to move on to new activities for entertainment. Work has been the usual, although the time is almot coming to an end. only just over a week left of work before we finish up and have a few days boarding before taking off. It will be sad to leave Golden but at the same time there are only more new and exciting adventures on their way.
Again we continue to push our boundaries and to some extent, our luck. This time, due to the lack of snow on the resort, we headed out bush to find someone to build a jump. Accompanied by our Quebecoise friend Dave, who is far more advanced at snowboarding than us, we found a spot that he thought looked good. Leo, Quentin and I looked out the window to find a gap off a rock over a road.... And so the building began. First, a kicker off the top of the rock, second, a track through the shrubs and trees on to the kicker... So what was next? Naturally we sent Dave off first, seeing him clear the road was enough to get us up there. Quentin was next, he didnt have quite so much luck and landed on the road. Fortunately he was unhurt. Next was me, my first attempt resulted in me landing flat on my back, lucky the landing was soft! With a hit of adrenaline the jumps kept coming... Aside from pushing myself to the limits again and having an amazing time, we left we no injuries so the day was a success. Photos and videos are available for viewing!
