We finished part 1 of our European adventure by returning to Australia to celebrate Ford's 21st birthday.
After we left Sweden we returned to Porto Ercole for a few days rest. The weather was bad with rain and cold temperatures for Italy. We spent two days with our Captain Paul working on the Black Pearl itinerary for the Mediterranean from May to October. In brief from Italy to the Greek Islands, Turkey, Croatia, France and Spain.
With that all done we played golf back in Monte Argentario, packed and headed off to Australia.
We were home for 10 days and it took us a week to get over our jet lag.
You realize after being away for two months how many great things you have in your community such as family, swimming at Brighton baths, work, art and just being at home cooking and dining with good friends.
We played golf and went to watch Ford win his Grand Final of basketball. We also entertained 130 of Ford's friends at his 21st birthday party, tipping out the last of the remaining dregs of vast amounts of alcohol at 3 am.
May 9th we are back on a plane to Rome for part 2 of the European adventure.
