Hello everyone!
This will be my last update before I head off to my outreach in Japan. We have had quite a difficult time trying to make contacts and find accommodation. If fact, we weren't even sure where we were going to be staying in Japan because we had not heard back from anyone, the Ywam base could not host us, and all the hostels were booked in Tokyo. It wasn't until this morning that we got a contact back that fit right into what kind of ministry we were hoping to go into. We have been wanting to partner up along side a church and really invest ourselves into the growth of the Japanese people as Christians. Our contact lives in Chiba and told us we could stay for either all the duration of our trip, or for as long as we like and work along side his church. How awesome God is and his timing! So we leave in an hour to Auckland where we will fly into Narita, Japan and then most likely taxi our way to Chiba, which is right outside of Japan. We will be staying there for five weeks and then returning to NZ's south island where we will continue our outreach for two more weeks as we make our way back up north. I am getting more and more excited, I can't wait!
I want to say thank you to everyone for all your support and love, I have been so blessed these last three months and I am anxious to step out into the mission field for the next two. So here are a few prayer requests I would like to share with you:
I still have been having some money transfer delays, so please pray that all the finances are put in order. I am still short $595 NZ, but that should be covered when the transfers clear. That there is protection over our team as we travel and make contacts in Chiba. And lastly that the Japanese people's hearts would be softened to hear the Gospel, as I am told that the Japanese are quite indifferent to hearing the message we are bringing.
Thanks everyone and I love you very much! I will be trying to keep up my blog in Japan as much as I can. God bless and besos!
