Today was castle day. We cruised through the most famous stretch of the Rhine.Steep slopes covered in vineyards are dotted with castles and picturesque villages such as Boppard and St Goardhausen. We sailed past Loreley Rock which is at the deepest and narrowest point of the Rhine. After lunch we arrive at Rudesheim a world famous UNESCO area of the Hesse Province. Mini trains take us to Siegfried's Music Cabinet. This is a museum of musical instruments and music boxes. it is actually quite interesting and made even more so by our unusual guide. From here we have free time for shopping and looking around .it is a beautiful old village. We take the cable car to the monument of Germania. The scenery is beautiful with grape vines as far as you can see and a castle in every direction. After this we have a bit of time for shopping before returning to the ship. Back on board we have dinner and tonight is a sixties party. we go for a little while but then head back to our rooms to have our own party .We go to Liz and Miltons room for night caps and to see Frankfurt by night. Night caps consisted of buckets of baileys for Liz and I and Ouzo and Coke for Milton and Beer for Glenn.
