Hi,
Just thought I'd update you on my training regime...and it is a regime! There are 6 weeks to go until my Level 2 and 3 training. I've up'ed my sessions to 4 times a week - 3 exercise classes and a swim. This is week 3 of my new schedule. God, I'm knackered! However I do feel fitter and stronger which is the aim of the game. I really must remember I'm 44 not 24, and that's why it seems such hard work. There was a point yesterday when I did accidentally beg for mercy out loud during circuits! (I usually try to keep it in my head) I do try and focus on that every exercise rep done properly will be one in the bag for later when I really need my fitness. (Still wish I was 24 though!) The mixture of boxercise, circuits and body pump (weights) is starting to pay off so I think so I have no choice but to carry on. My biggest fear is letting my team down through lack of preparation.
As you can see all our profile pictures have been published now. We all look like proper athletes. Cool! I'm really looking forward to crew allocation in April so we can get on with getting to know each other and planning our campaign. xx
