As they say, "everything that can go wrong will go wrong." And believe me, it has. My computer, which I had repaired two weeks before I came, crashed on Monday. After numerous tag team phone calls to the computer place in the US I was told that my harddrive was full and I needed to connect it to someone else's computer to drag files off. Edwin and I searched for 3 hours around Cape Coast and finally found the type of cord that I needed only to find out that my disk cannot be repaired. There is an Apple store in Accra, but I want to avoid the travel and computer expenses if I can due to my limited budget. I'm trying to move forward with a plan B for editing, but that hasn't been all that promising either. I do still have all the footage for the first episode, however it's just frustrating because I had the entire episode done on my computer when it crashed. Not to mention that one of my friends got typhoid and left for US yesterday. She was supposed to fly home with me in July. Needless to say it has been a long, disappointing week. I am traveling to a stilt village with my housemates this weekend though, so I do have something to look forward to. I don't know when I'll update again since this is Edwin's computer, but hopefully the next update will be from my computer. I'm crossing my fingers...
