Had a really nice time in sydney and melbourne.
I thought sydney was really like london and appeared to have more cockneys in it than london does!! Very big and everyone in a hurry. Went on a trip to the blue mountains which were impressive and took a cable car across them and then went on the steepest train in the world (apparently!) you were secured in with a rope across your middle so I am glad there was no accident as we wouldn't have stood a chance!! then we saw the three sisters rocks.Â
I also climbed the sydney harbour bridge which was scary, especially when climbing above 8 lanes of traffic! i also done all the tourist sights and the aquarium. Hotel nice and in good location for shops
Next was melbourne which had a much more relaxed feel to it and i immediately preferred it to sydney. I went on the great ocean road tour which was a 7.00am start and didn't get back until 10pm. There was so many lovely beaches and the weather was good which made it even better. We had lunch at a place where the koalas and parrots roam around and then we went to the 12 apostles for sunset which was one of the most amazing sights i have seen, although my pictures don't do it justice at all. I then went wine tasting and finally know now how to taste wine! After the first taste at 10.30 it gradually got easier and by the 20th i knew exactly what i was looking for in wine!!!!
Then I did lots of city sight seeing and shopping. Really nice buildings and loads of shops!
Would definitely like to do more of Oz another time. Speak soon Mell xxÂ
