Melissa's & Gemma's Travels
Well we left Cintsa to go to Coffee Bay. Arried just in time for the full moon party, litrally put our bags down and were dragged up the hill to see the sun set, and the moon come out. It was so lovely, sipping a chilled glass of wine! the back to the bcak packers for the celebrations. The local tribe visited us and performed traditional ritual dancing, drumming and singing.
Meet some funny people there, everyone is stoned. Our spiritual friend Richard thought he came from averlon, and believed hemp, and wee would heel the world!
The next day we spent on the beach, I have never seen anything like it. It was just me and Gem and 4 other people, a whole beautiful beach to ourselves! Tried to get a tan, but it still not the best! had a drumming lesson in the evening, we are so bad have no rythem!
We then moved onto Durban on the 14th to Nomads. Our Zulu tour was fully booked so we ended up going on a 1 day safari. Up at 5ish to take a 2 1/2 hr drive to the game park. It was a glorious day, and we went around in a open top vehicle, and saw loads of animals, so 3 out of the big 5.
We had to move on to Jo'burg on 16th to be there for our safari. Seriouly never been up so early and as much in my life. Well worth it though.
We got picked up for our safari, and met our group, Tim, Francias, Jo, Leabo, and our guide Andrew.
Saw so many animals over the couple of days. I will upload the pictures for you to see. They maybe alot but we were a bit snap happy!
We stayed in 2 different camps in the park, and we loved being outside, roughing it! We were modle students, helped with cooking, washing up etc.
We have had the best couple of days and didn't want to go back to a big city!
The last night of our safari we stayed at a cultural village where we stayed in mud huts! Something I have never done before. I was bullied into getting up and dancing with the locals, so made a fool of myself as usual! And yes there is a pic!
We have been back in Jo'burg for 1 night, and have had a lazy day doing much needed washing. We are going to the Apartide Musuem tomorrow, and then we go the the airport to catch our flight to Perth. We cannot believe our time is up here already. Having the best time, and will be coming back as there is so much else to see, and 3 weeks is just not enough. So the next entry will be from down under! Speak to you soon
